I recently moved to Wilmington from Las Vegas, NV and love the change! I worked in the 1031 Exchange industry for over 7 years and enjoyed the many challenges and obstacles the industry had to offer but decided it was time for a change. I made the move to Wilmington, obtained my Real Estate license and joined with Live Oak Real Estate.

I enjoy spending my spare time with my family at the beach!

Walt spent 20 years in the automotive business, as a technician, body man,
parts and service. Licensed in 1996, he is 'out in the field' more than
anyone else at Live Oak as he makes sure that all work on all properties
is being done correctly and to client specifications. When he's not
driving all over North Carolina in his Ford diesel truck, he enjoys golf
and kayaking, as well as playing with his 3 grandsons.

Born and raised here in Wilmington, I have a working knowledge of how the city ticks. While I’ve grown to love and appreciate the bounty this area has to offer; there are a great many aspects that I still discover to this day. Maybe that’s why Wilmington continues to be one of the most sought after areas in the country to live and call home. After becoming weary of the nonstop travel from my previous career in the environmental field, I wandered through the doors of Live Oak Real Estate and haven’t looked back since. Since 2004, I’ve worked with Live Oak as a real estate broker; and I’ve also attained the requirements to be a North Carolina certified residential appraiser. When I’m not helping you find the home you want to call “home,” I can usually be found somewhere surrounded by saltwater.

I am a native Wilmingtonian and have enjoyed watching the port city of Wilmington grow. I love it here so much that I am planning on being here forever! You really have found a tiny piece of heaven if you are considering a move here or investing in the area. While working for the airlines I attended UNC-Wilmington and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. I met my husband while earning my education and soon after being married we started our family. Today, we have been blessed with three beautiful, talented and sweet little girls.....Savannah, Keeley-Shea and Claire-Emma. Our family has a love for dachshunds too.....Maggie-May and Chester.

Live Oak Real Estate's original YANKEE! My husband and I moved down from rural Flemington, NJ almost twelve years ago. We thought we came for the beautiful beaches and weather, but were blessed with so many warm and dear friends ... from work, church and neighbors. We now reside in Leland, NC, just over the Cape Fear River from Wilmington.

For thirty years I have served as a minister and missionary, part of that time as a Pastor in both Virginia and North Carolina, and eleven years as a Missionary in East Africa, Uganda, and Greece in Southern Europe. Friends introduced me to this area in the winter of 2003. “Come on down Dee, you will love it here, we’ve got a great beach house and you are looking a little too pale”, they said. So I did, jumped on a plane, left the snow behind only to discover palm trees, balmy breezes and the most pristine beaches when I arrived.
Soon after I replaced my snow shovel for a sand shovel and relocated to Southport, NC., with pets, furniture and my fiancé in tow.

After working as an Industrial Engineer, a Professional Personnel Recruiter, a Plant Manager and a Truck Driver I’ve come full circle back to the land, real estate. After 14 years in the treated lumber business in sales, I was laid off after a big merger. So I decided to get into real estate in 1994.

When I'm not working, I enjoy golf, scrapbooking, boating (we have a 17' Whaler) and most of all, 3 darling grandchildren!

In 1988 our family saw our oldest son off to join the Navy and shipped off to the Middle East. The opportunity for a new position in Raleigh became available to my husband and we decided to make the move and so off we went with our youngest son to live the big city... We lived there for 9 years while I worked with Wake County School System managing the nutrition department of an elemetary school. My husband's job then moved us to Wilmington 15 years ago. At that time I went to work for New Hanover County Schools in their Nutrition department. Upon retiring from Child Nutrition I decided I wanted to change careers and go into real estate. I have always enjoyed working with the public and what better choice than helping families find the perfect home. I am so fortunate to be living in an area that is more like being on vacation each day then just a place to work and live. I enjoy working with clients moving to our beautiful city and showing them all of the advantages of living here at the coast. I came to the Wilmington area with friends for the Azalea Festival in the spring of 1982. In 3 days I knew I would eventually live at Carolina Beach. I bought my 1st home at Carolina Beach in 1986 when I was 24 years old, and it was my 34th residence.

I knew that someday everyone else would find this wonderful region of southeastern North Carolina, called "Cape Fear ". Boy, was I right !
